UPSC has released the official notification for NDA (i) 2019 exam. As per the official notification released, NDA (i) 2019 exam is scheduled to be held on April 21, 2019. The exam will be held for admission to Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA for 143rd course in Army and Navy and 105th Naval Academy Course commencing from January 2, 2020.
The National Defense Academy, formally known as NDA is the Joint Service Academy for the Indian Armed Forces. Cadets of three armed services including Army, Navy and Air Force are trained together in the academy, before moving forward with the pre-commissioning training. NDA is said to be the first tri-service academy in the world. Admissions in the academy are accepted via written examination conducted by UPSC, followed by an extensive interview conducted by SSB. Finally, a medical test to keep a check on the candidate’s overall health and physical fitness.
